Non-Discrimination Act (GINA) Turns 10

This May marks the tenth anniversary of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA). GINA is a federal law that was designed to protect people from genetic discrimination, which occurs when people are treated differently by their employer or health insurance company because they have a gene mutation that causes or increases the risk of an inherited disorder.
